Testbench

Testbenches are important design verification tools in digital hardware design, especially in HDL-specified modules. In essence, they’re small programs/scripts that drive the design in a particular way and verify correctness.

There’s a huge amount of (mostly fragmented) testbench tools. Some frameworks include:

• Universal Verification Methodology (UVM)
• cocotb
