            Boundary-value problem

            Apr 21, 20241 min read

Boundary-value problems (BVPs) are applied to differential equations subjected to boundary conditions that function as constraints for the problem. These show up frequently in many areas of physics, as any physical differential equation will have them. For instance, they’re used in solutions to Laplace’s equation in electromagnetism.
