Snapshot testing is a software testing strategy where you verify the output your program produces against some ground truth. This is mainly helpful with complex output formats and a significant quantity of comparisons. It also gives you an improved diff on failure.
This is great for rendering/video/image tasks, since you do pixelwise comparisons.
