Force

Forces are vector quantities, expressed in newtons ($N$), though there are cases when the problem don’t require the use of vectorial analysis. Described by Newton’s laws of motion, foundational to classical mechanics.

There are different types of forces:

• Fundamental force
  • Electrostatic force
  • Magnetic force
• Internal force (used in statics)
• Intermolecular force

Mechanics

In statics, our central analysis asserts that in all directions: $\Sigma \vec{F}=0$ In dynamics, as bodies move now, we assert: $\Sigma \text{F}=m\text{a}$ The derivative of the sum of forces is linear momentum:

$$\Sigma \text{F}=\dot{\text{G}}$$

Electromagnetics

There are two fundamental forces under time-invariant (static) conditions, one for the electric force, and another for the magnetic force. In one statement:

$$\vec{F}=q(\vec{E}+\vec{v}\times \vec{B})$$
