Inspired by Steven Gong, I started using Obsidian to take conceptual notes on 23 July 2023, and will be slowly migrating from Notion. Aiming to follow his philosophy, I’ve summarised some good things to follow below.
By consequence of having started (relatively) late in the game, there’s a lot of thoughts that inevitably don’t have a note in the database.

- Cite your sources whenever you’re learning from an external source — if you ever revisit the topic at another time, you have a direct source.
- Use this space to self-reflect. You may end up sharing your reflections to the Internet, but it is definitely your space.
