Such a genuinely monumental piece of literature. It talks about death and grief but is so much more than that - it also celebrates life and what could be and what could have been. Zauner takes us into her world, and all the sights and smells and tastes that go with it. Stunning and elegiac with such clarity. Very emblematic of Asian Americana.

Book graciously lended by my sister, Stephanie.
