I’m pretty interested in efficient ways to transfer files between different machines (computers, phones). I used to use Google Drive and OneDrive to transfer things around but it’s a huge waste of time to do this.

Some tools I use right now:

  • Nearby Share
  • WinSCP
  • Wormhole

Wormhole looks like a really promising piece of software,1 especially for my home computer, where Nearby Share doesn’t work (because of Bluetooth incompatibility). I have it installed on the command line but several GUI-based tools exist. It also looks like a promising FOSS alternative to Nearby Share.
