It’s a good idea to think about engineering communication in terms of the engineering design process.
- Documents have users and stakeholders.
- Requirements can be generated by understanding user/situational needs.
- Implementation is only one part of a larger process. The bulk of our time shouldn’t be spent creating a first draft.
- Edits to drafts are cheaper than edits to final products.
